Representatives from Make Ready Service invited to Admiralty House for their involvement in the response to the Bondi Beach terrorist attack.
Recently, representatives from Make Ready Service (MRS) were welcomed by the Governor-General Ms Sam Mostyn AC to Admiralty House for their involvement in the response to the Bondi Beach terrorist attack in December.
By ensuring ambulances were cleaned and restocked quickly, the MRS team helped paramedics focus on what mattered most – caring for victims and the community at a time of real need.
Over 450 first responders and healthcare workers who supported the community during and after the event were invited to be recognised and were given the opportunity to wander around the grounds and rooms of Admiralty house with their loved ones.
The Governor General took the opportunity to express her gratitude to the group.
‘Thank you for [your] care, compassion and steadfast service in a time of profound grief’, she said.
The care and professionalism shown by our team was also acknowledged and praised by NSW Ambulance staff.
Samuel Miles, Operations Manager for MRS, sung the team’s praises.
‘It was intense work for the team. They cleaned and restocked 27 ambulances in 2 hours at Randwick station to allow them to get back out and respond and provide critical care’, he said.
‘It’s so nice to see our service getting well-deserved recognition. I’m so proud to be part of such a great team.’
A big thank you to:
Luke Thompson, Bilal Sayan, Andre Wardle, Zac Urbach, John Lee, Bijay Baniya, Sadia Hamid, Qui Tran, Brooke Turner, Lucas Neron, Fatima Ahsan, Andy Suppradit, Pravakar Shrestha, Huu Tran, Nicole Minahan, Tracy Turner and Omar Feredous.
